NEW SCHOOL YEAR

Hello Brookside Family and Friends! Welcome and welcome back. This is the rebooted and refreshed art blog for Brookside Elementary School. This is Ms. Gavam the Art Teacher at Brookside Elementary.
I will send out links via the school and teacher newsletters with updated posts
with Student Artwork and Project Descriptions throughout the year. Students have begun art classes this week and we are starting off with our post-it mini-masterpiece school mural by the back windows and some rule reminders. Next week, learners will be creating their sketchbook covers. Stay tuned. Thursday, September 3rd is Back to School Night. I will be putting up sign up sheets fro volunteer opportunities this year in Art. Please take a look and see how you might want to help in or outside of your child’s art time. I look forward to teaching and guiding your young artists this year and cannot wait to see what they learn and make in the Art Studio this tear.
Best,
Ms. Gavam aka Ms. G.

Here are some images below from Open House and end of year projects.
Each child had a piece of art, mounted and displayed his/her classroom.
The Art Studio was also open for viewing clay works in progress, some 3D work and a sampling of grade level projects. Teachers and parent volunteers help make the Open House displays happen. So grateful.
